Privacy policy

This policy explains what information tutti.frutti (the "Site") collects, how it's used, and what choices you have about it. By using the Site, you accept this policy.

What data we collect

Data you enter

• Player name: the one you type before playing. We don't ask for a last name, email, or any data that identifies you outside the game.
• Game answers: the words you type in each category during a round, so they can be compared with other players' answers to calculate the score.
• Room code: generated automatically when a game is created.

This data is stored in a database (Firebase, by Google) tied to an anonymous identifier generated in your browser, not your real identity. Rooms and their data aren't meant to be kept indefinitely. If you play the daily challenge or time attack, your player name, fruit and score appear in that day's or that week's public rankings.

Data stored on your device

We use your browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember, only on your own device, your player name, your fruit, your color theme, whether you prefer sound muted, and your stats and achievements. This information is never sent to our servers or to third parties.

The AI judge

When an answer is disputed and no one resolves it beforehand, the challenged word and its category are sent to an AI service (Anthropic) to decide whether it's valid. Only the word, the category and the round's letter are sent — never your name or any other personal data.

Advertising and cookies

This Site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. The first time you visit, we show you a notice about these cookies: if you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, it's Google's consent notice, where you can accept them, reject them or choose which ones to allow; from anywhere else it's our own notice, where you can accept or reject them. If you reject them, ads are no longer personalized.

Usage statistics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the Site and which pages they use most, so we can improve it. If you reject cookies in either notice, Analytics stops storing cookies in your browser and only receives anonymous, aggregated data.

Who we share information with

We don't sell personal data. We share information only with the providers needed for the Site to work: Firebase (Google) for real-time room syncing, Anthropic for the AI judge, and Google AdSense and Google Analytics for advertising and statistics, each subject to their own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

This Site isn't specifically directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this same page along with the update date.
